The main age group that the site is aimed at is children around 7 and below. I think that the purpose of the site is to get children intrested in it so that hopefull they will watch it and to encourage the children that already watch it. There are special features like printable pictures and games etc. This is answering the question on Mr C’s blog…

Listen to MEEEE (trying to speak spanish!) Sorry guys – at the moment you can only listen to it if you have audacity but coming to everyone SOON!

As we are doing Badminton this term in our P.E. lessons, I thought you might be interested to know that the rules of badminton have changed over the summer.
The Scoring System
A match consists of the best of three games. This means that if you won two games, you wouldn’t have to play the third. The games consist of 21 points. I the score reaches 20 all, the side that gains a two point lead first, wins that game.
However, if the score gets to 29 all, the side scoring the 30th point wins the game, otherwise the game could go on forever! Whichever side won the last game serves first in the next one.
Intervals and changes of Ends
When the leading score reaches 11 points, players have a 60 second (one minute) interval. They are allowed a 2 minute interval between games. In the third game, players change ends when a side scores 11 points.
Singles
At ther beginning of the game and when the score is even, the server serves from the right service court (like in tennis). When it is odd, the server serves from the left service court.
If the server wins a rally, the server scores a point and then serves again from the other service court.
If the reciever wins a rally, the reciever scores a point and becomes the new server.
Doubles
At the beginning of the game and when the score is even, the server serves from the right court. When the score is odd, the server serves from the left court (like singles)
If the serving side wins a rally, the serving side scores a point and the same server serves again from the other service court – the serving side’s players swap sides.
If the recieving side wins a rally, the recieving side scores a point, the recieving side becomes the new serving side.
The player of the recieving side who served last stays in the same service court from where he served last. This means that his partner stays where he was too.
The players don’t change the service court they are standing in until they win a point and therefore their side is serving.
It is quite similar to the old rules but for those who didn’t know it to begin with hope it helped! The main thing that is different is that you can win a point even when you are not serving which was not the case last year!

Well, we had a history lesson on Monday last week and our homework was to write about the subject of ‘Did England become Protestant in the 16th C’. I don’t know what everyone has decided but to help I found this really good Tudor website which has loads of information for this topic we are doing at the moment in History – The Tudors. You can find out all about Henry 7th, Henry 8th, Edward 6th, Mary 1st, and Elizabeth 1st. To go to it click here.

Today in maths we learnt how to save stuff into the memory on our calculators!!! I didn’t know but all the letters are different memory storage spaces….. e.g. above one of the buttons it has an ‘a’, and you can save stuff onto that memory section. Hey, anyone who isn’t in Mrs Bower’s maths group, what have you been doing???
